Hp photosmart c7280 all in one reviews8/12/2023 ![]() Printing at a higher quality setting and on HP’s top-of-the-line Premium Plus photo paper did bring the C7280’s print quality much closer to its competitors. HP is also billing the C7280 as a photo printer, and it does a fine job there however, when we had a jury of evaluators judge images printed at the C7280’s default print settings, most viewers felt that photos were good, but not as vibrant and lifelike as those printed on Epson’s $199 In the end, though, the C7280 is more about giving you some photo scanning capabilities than being the best at it. My first attempts produced lackluster images with middling color fidelity, and I had to tweak the driver settings to get better photo scans. I had a few issues when scanning photos, however. Scanning documents was quite easy and produced good results overall. You can scan files as TIFFs, JPEGs, and PDFs, and the Scan menu offers a variety of options, like e-mailing scans, adding images to iPhoto, and more. HP’s Scan Pro scanning software is quite basic, but includes such features as built-in OCR support and dust-removal and color-correction tools for scanning photographs. The feature-filled Photosmart C7280 has a built-in auto document feeder for scanning or copying multiple documents. Whether you’re scanning 20 pages to your Mac or making direct copies, the feeder will prove to be very handy. The ability to copy multiple sheets from a document is much more useful, and HP does an excellent job of integrating the feeder into the scanning software. Scanning 35mm film sounds good in theory, but it’s rarely possible to get usable scans from an inexpensive flatbed scanner. The C7280 drops the C7180’s film-scanning capabilities for an automatic document feeder for the scanner and copier, which is a much smarter choice overall. However being an ebay purchase the machine came from a very good source.Photosmart C7180 ( ) at the high end of HP’s all-in-one ink-jet line. I would recommend this printer if you need all the functions and I would always recommend HP. I bought this model because on an open auction I got it at a very good price and that was my main reason for choosing this particular model. My reservations, if any, is that HP do not provide spare parts as such so if anything goes wrong the machine has to go back to the maker rather than the supplier. My ink supplier provides alternatives to using HP branded ink cartridges which continue to be very expensive however quality is the same using a different brand. Too soon to tell but they seem to be value for money in this setup. The use of six individual print cartridges was initiall y concerning however because you can replace each color individually as they run out I suspect long term this will be cost effective. The only thing missing is the ability to print from transparency slides of which I have many. The photo printing is very good as you would expect with HP. The number of memory card slots covers all you need and the addition of a usb slot saves time. The scanner is great, as are the photo printing facilities. The copy facility is true color, the photosmart express vdu works well and can be time saving. I have yet to use the fax facility (mainly due to lack of phone connector close by) but all other facilities are proving to be great. The others have been 'borrowed' by family. I have had two others in the photosmart range and this is by far the best to date. This is a multi task machine, easy to use, good quality and the color is great. An Ethernet cable can tie the Hewlett Packard all-in-one InkJet printer to a network, or a home user can simply plug in the standard USB 2.0 connection. The duplexer tray on the HP Photosmart printer saves paper by letting documents print on both sides. This all-in-one InkJet printer also features high-capacity paper trays and a 50-sheet automatic document feeder, so this hardworking device can be unattended while the person using it is busy with other tasks. The high-resolution scanner on the HP Photosmart printer allows the user to scan current photos and even restore old ones for digital archiving. The Hewlett Packard all-in-one InkJet printer has six ink colors for optimum photo quality, while the 33-ppm printing speed ensures high productivity. This all-in-one InkJet printer works with the consumer’s digital camera by featuring a memory card slot where photos can easily be uploaded and printed in vivid colour. The Hewlett Packard all-in-one InkJet printer has a scanner, fax machine, and copier condensed into one smart machine that supports letter- and legal-sized paper, envelopes, executive cards, and photo paper.
